iPhone 2.0.2 is here; provides bug fixes for those 3G woes
Apple Inc. updated the iPhone's software on Monday afternoon, but according to some of the first feedback from users in Apple's support forum, the newest 2.0.2 firmware has not entirely fixed many 3G reception problems.
It seems strange that nearly two weeks ago Apple released the details when it released the iPhone 2.0.1 update, but in this 2.0.2 release Apple gave no details, stating only that it included "bug fixes."
Users expecting to see a fix for long-running 3G reception issues, however, were somewhat disappointed. The majority of people who posted feedback on the subject in Apple's support forum said that the update had not entirely solved their iPhone problems, which included dropped calls, weak signal strength and slower than advertised surfing speeds.
